The last two days marked the official start of PULSE: Pioneering User-centric wireless, smart & bi-directionaL charging Solutions for Electric light-duty vehicles. Together with our project partners from across Europe, we gathered at Hotel Weitzer in Graz for the project’s kick-off meeting. 
  
PULSE focuses on wireless, smart and bidirectional charging solutions for electric vehicles. The project investigates how wireless charging can be integrated into everyday mobility, addressing technical aspects such as charging infrastructure and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) services, as well as user acceptance, safety and practical usability.  
  
The first day was all about getting to know each other, aligning on the project’s vision, and fostering collaboration among the 22 partner organisations. Alongside organisational discussions, topics such as standardisation, user acceptance, and the successful integration of wireless charging solutions into everyday mobility were high on the agenda.  
  
On the second day the focus was on the technical work packages: the design of the bidirectional wireless charging technology, the socio-technical integration into energy grids and the mobility system, the real-world demonstrations actions as well as upscaling, replication & impact assessment. 
 
We are looking forward to working together with our partners over the next three and a half years and to contributing our expertise to the project.
